Avalição da viabilidade de esporos de Bacillus clausii em simulação do trato gastrointestinal humano

Resumo

O uso de bactérias probióticas formadoras de esporos como Bacillus spp., tem aumentado devido a capacidade de formar esporos resultando em maior resistência durante os processos de produção, armazenamento e comercialização. O Bacillus clausii está no mercado há mais de 55 anos e é caracterizado pela presença de quatro cepas probióticas (O/C, SIN, N/R e T). Neste estudo o Bacillus clausii, proveniente do produto comercial Enterogermina®, foi obtido em Farmácias e Drogarias do município de Dourados-MS. Para caracterizar Bacillus clausii para uso como probiótico foi realizado a análise de pH 2 e 3, teste de tolerância e hidrolise de sais biliares a 0,3%, teste de tolerância a pepsina e pancreatina, teste de adesão e atividade de hemólise. Nas análises de tolerância ao pH ácido, aos sais biliares, a pepsina e pancreatina, não apresentaram diferenças significativas se comparados com o log de UFC/mL-1 de células iniciais. 67% de se aderir a chapa de aço inox. Apresentou atividade de hidrólise sais biliares e de γ-hemolítica em ágar com sangue. Dessa forma indicando grande potencial probiótico.
