A responsabilidade Social como Preceito Ético-Civilizatório

Abstract
O tema da responsabilidade social empresarial assumiu uma importância significativa frente a um passado e (certamente) um presente de descaso de amplos segmentos da iniciativa privada com uma agenda de cumprimento dos princípios básicos dos direitos humanos. Discutido em um clima que é de polêmica, é uma noção que assume não poucos significados. Ainda assim, é reconhecível um avanço que inclui a elaboração de indicadores que possam aferir a aproximação de empresas aos compromissos com seu público interno e externo. A questão é a definição do conteúdo de tais mecanismos, já que ele precisa apresentar-se com um caráter universal. O que fica é a necessidade de um imperativo ético-civilizatório baseado na Declaração Universal dos Direitos do Homem, e que tenha a legislação como referencial de mediação e interpelação da realidade.
