Aplicação de calcário em superfície: estudo da influência nas propriedades químicas de um latossolo vermelho distrófico sob o cultivo de cana-de-açúcar.

Abstract
A aplicação superficial de calcário ainda gera dúvidas quanto a sua eficiência na correção da acidez do solo no sistema plantio direto. Entretanto tem-se observado que os efeitos da aplicação de calcário têm ocorrido em profundidade e em períodos de tempo relativamente curtos, apesar da sua baixa solubilidade no solo. O trabalho teve por objetivo avaliar as alterações químicas de um Latossolo Vermelho em função da granulometria do calcário sob o cultivo de cana-de-açúcar. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi esquema fatorial 2x2, resultantes da combinação de 2 fontes de calcário (PRNT = 70% e PRNT = 103%) com dois modos de aplicação (aplicado em superfície e incorporado), mais um tratamento controle, todos com 3 repetições, totalizando 21 parcelas. Foram realizadas análises químicas (pH, M.O., P, K, Ca, Mg, H+Al, CTC e saturação por bases) do solo coletado nas camadas de 0 - 0,20 m e 0,20 - 0,40 m aos 3 meses após a aplicação do corretivo. Os resultados evidenciaram, que a granulometria do calcário não alterou nenhum atributo químico do solo, entretanto ao se avaliar as profundidades nota-se que o efeito do calcário ocorreu apenas na camada superficial, onde todos os parâmetros avaliados foram superiores nesta camada em relação à subsuperficial, demonstrando que em dois
