Reabsorção radicular relacionada às técnicas e aparelhos ortodônticos

Abstract
O presente trabalho realizou uma revisão da literatura utilizando as bases de dados PubMed, MEDLINE, SciELO, LILACs e Google Acadêmico com objetivo de avaliar as reabsorções radiculares relacionadas às técnicas e aos aparelhos ortodônticos, a fim de orientar o cirurgião dentista quanto às complicações inerentes do tratamento ortodôntico. Com relação aos aparelhos, não houve diferença entre os aparelhos ortodônticos convencionais, auto ligados e termoplásticos. A técnica Bioeficiente foi a que apresentou a menor reabsorção radicular em comparação as técnicas Edwise e Straight-Wire. Os incisivos superiores e inferiores são os mais acometidos pelas reabsorções devido a sua anatomia.
