Problemas Ambientais Relacionados aos Estrogênios Miméticos: Perda de Fertilidade, Câncer e Outros Riscos a Saúde Humana Como Resultado dos Produtos Da Sociedade de Consumo

Abstract
Vários produtos químicos sintéticos são utilizados em larga escala em nossa sociedade de consumo e estão sobre forte investigação quanto a seus efeitos sobre os seres humanos e a fauna. Muitos programas de pesquisa mostram que a extensão deste impacto pode estar levando a drásticas alterações hormonais nas populações humanas, uma diminuição significativa da fertilidade masculina e o aumento da ocorrência de vários tipos de câncer. Apesar da abrangência destes estudos, poucas informações estão disponíveis sobre o tema, mesmo para estudantes de Ciências Biológicas ou de Saúde. O texto, em forma de ensaio, surgiu como material de apoio didático nas aulas ministradas pelo autor transformado em uma síntese explicativa. Além disso, o objetivo principal é instigar o leitor a procurar mais leituras e questionamentos sobre este importante tema.
