Abstract
O estudo em questão faz parte do projeto de estudo faunístico, e de relação da sociedade com a natureza no município de Araraquara - SP e tem por objetivo traçar o perfil dos acidentes escorpiõnicos em relação à explosão demográfica da espécie Tityus serrulatus, bem como a sensível diminuição da outra espécie o Tityus bahiensis na área urbana, através da análise das fichas epidemiológicas recebidas no período de janeiro de 2000 a setembro de 2004 pela Secretaria Municipal de Saúde.
