Abstract
Devido à função ecológica representada pelos insetos aquáticos, é de grande importância conhecermos a composição destes organismos presentes em macrófitas aquáticas. O objetivo do trabalho foi conhecer a variedade e a abundância da entomofauna associada a macrófitas de ambientes lênticos da região central do Estado de São Paulo. A fauna analisada consiste naquela associada a 16 plantas, coletadas na Represa do Ribeirão das Anhumas (Américo Brasiliense/SP), e em um viveiro de piscicultura (Araraquara/SP).
