O uso de fluido oral para detecção de drogas com interesse forense

Resumo
As análises toxicológicas forenses são valiosas ferramentas para o rastreamento e confirmação de substâncias de interesse forense em diferentes matrizes biológicas. As drogas de abuso representam um problema de saúde pública mundial, que podem resultar em acidentes e mortes. Convencionalmente, sangue e urina são as principais matrizes biológicas para realização das análises toxicológicas. O fluido oral (OF) é, hoje em dia, uma das matrizes biológicas alternativas mais comumente utilizadas para testes clínicos e forenses de drogas. Uma das características interessantes do OF é que a droga original é, frequentemente, a substância predominante detectada na amostra. Além da coleta ser simples e não invasiva. Diferentes métodos analíticos para detecção de drogas em amostras biológicas alternativas estão disponíveis. Este artigo teve como objetivo resumir quais são as principais vantagens do uso de OF para detecção de drogas e mostrar os métodos analíticos mais empregados nos últimos 5 anos. Para isso, uma busca foi realizada nas bases de dados BVS, PubMed e Science Direct. O reconhecimento de estudos de OF como uma matriz biológica eficiente e segura para detecção de diversas drogas, torna esta matriz cada vez mais importante nesse cenário. No entanto, os testes utilizando esta matriz biológica ainda são bem menores em comparação com o sangue e a urina.
