Abstract
Preliminares: O perfil da proposta A proposta de um mestrado em Desenvolvimento Regional e Meio Ambiente com área de concentração em Dinâmica Regional e Alternativas da Sustentabilidade tem-se apresentado como uma perspectiva concreta de associar a experiência consolidada da pesquisa de docentes em diferentes áreas do conhecimento ao desafio de se integrar pesquisas e conhecimentos voltados ao processo de desenvolvimento regional, privilegiando-se a interface com a questão ambiental e a discussão interdisciplinar de aspectos cruciais para o planejamento da gestão pública e privada. O tema do Mestrado - Desenvolvimento Regional e Meio Ambiente – pensado como um campo da multidisciplinariedade em direção a um conhecimento interdisciplinar envolve o domínio de várias áreas do conhecimento. Uma agenda de pesquisa envolvendo temas e problemas da relação Desenvolvimento Regional e Meio Ambiente não tem como suporte abordagens isoladas nos diversos campos da ciência e da tecnologia, mas exige esforços interdisciplinares dentro de uma visão sistêmica e integrada.
